Join us for an afternoon of poetry on the farm. We will explore the metaphor of seeds with a hands-on seed sorting activity to get your creative juices flowing. Evonne, our instructorwill lead us in reflective writing exercises and introduce us to the Haiku poem form. You will wander the farm in search of inspiration to write your own Haiku, then type it up with our vintage typewriters and make a card featuring your poem.

About your Instructor
Evonne Ellis is a nature writer, photographer, and academic advisor in Northern California. She is currently writing “The Lookout Chronicles,” a memoir about mega-fire, a newbie fire lookout, and the unexpected lessons she learns from life on a mountain. Evonne’s writing and photography have been published in “Santa Fe Literary Review,” “Duck Head Journal,” “Lookout Network,” and “Frogpond Journal.” When she isn’t writing or working, you may find Evonne on her heart path. She loves to wander, free write, and meet new people—like you!
