Joy Garden! Cultivating delight in your garden
“Joy is not made to be a crumb.” Mary Oliver
This creative garden planning workshop will help you make a commitment for more joy in your life and your garden.
In this online gathering, we will create a practice to interact with our gardens around the idea of joy. This begins with an intention–asking yourself, what will bring YOU joy? Then this becomes your motivation, not a perfect garden you see in magazines, but one you will enjoy spending time in and sharing with others.
What is a joy garden?
A space you cultivate daily for short times to arouse delight in yourself, your beloveds (possibly strangers) and the Earth. The intention of joy grows, radiating out to the butterflies, insects, birds, microbes and worms, your family, the neighborhood, and ultimately the world. Because every being who touches the beauty and happiness you are growing will keep carrying that joy forward, spreading it in their own way.
Join Kate Watters, chief dreamer at Wild Heart for a creative planning session on Google Meet to create intention and plan a garden that will grow more joy. A perfect way to get ready up for the 2025 garden season.
What to Expect
This online workshop will include meditation, journaling prompts, mapping and making vision boards, considerations and action steps to take toward cultivating a joy garden this season.
This workshop is not a garden how-to, nuts and bolts, or crop planning exercise.
