Nothing Lasts, Everything Matters: Meditations on Mortality and Presence
The garden is letting go. Zinnias blacken after the first frost, seed heads rattle in the wind, and the cottonwoods along the creek are dropping their gold one leaf at a time. Nothing out here pretends it will last forever, and somehow that’s exactly what makes it so beautiful.
As we head into the dark months, the land offers us an invitation: to turn inward and look honestly at our own impermanence. Not to dwell in fear, but to remember that our time is finite, and to ask what we truly want to do with it. Every tradition that has sat with death has found the same thing on the other side: a deeper presence, a clearer heart, and a life lived more on purpose.
Join us for a daylong retreat with instructional talks, guided meditation, and small group discussion. No meditation experience needed. The practices are gentle, and you’re welcome to move at your own pace.
