Understanding Starter Gardens

These plant packages at the basic level include plants and a PDF growing resource guide. You can choose to add on individual in-person tutorials or purchase the bundle for a discount.

    • 6 dahlia tubers

    • 2 dahlia potted plants (3-4 weeks ahead of the tubers)

    • A PDF resource with detailed steps of how to plant, grow, harvest and dig and store dahlias.

    • Access to YouTube videos on dividing, planting, harvest and digging

    • A mix of 15 native and perennial nursery plants in 4” pots
      2 seed mixes (for spring and fall)

    • Plants are selected for Northern AZ (USDA 5-8 hardiness zone)

    • Plants and seed will grow to cover an area about 8 x 8’

    • PDF planting guide with tips for attracting and sustaining pollinators


    • The Dahlia Lover’s Garden has the option to add-on individual tutorials or a bundle of all three to learn hands on at Wild Heart Farm.

    • In-person tutorials for the Pollinator Lover’s Garden soon.
