Slow down, pick up a needle, and give your beloved clothes a little love. This intimate full-day workshop weaves together the meditative practice of textile mending with restful silence, community, and time in nature.
Tasha Miller Griffith — textile educator, slow fashion advocate, and Flagstaff local — guides students through the fundamentals of patching and knit darning in a rhythm of teaching, shared silence, and unhurried practice. No experience necessary; just bring your mending pile and a willingness to linger. Materials for practice and mending will be available.
The day unfolds gently: we open with song and a grounding meditation, move through hands-on skill-building, share a meal and a walk on the farm, and settle into self-directed making time before a closing circle. There's space to work, to wander, to rest.
Tasha Miller Griffith’s deep joy is in the intersection of craft with belonging to and caring for the natural world.
